Marie - Founder
As a serial entrepreneur and investor in the entertainment, tech and now real estate sectors, Marie’s career spanned 30 countries across Europe, Africa and North America before she decided to settle in Lisbon.
She brings her wide network, her capacity to spot trends early, and her business expertise in support of your investment or life goals in Portugal.
Ramón - Founder
A true Lisboeta, Ramón’s 20-year career as one of Portugal’s leading photographers, combined with his passion for surfing, have taken him to every corner of the country from the Douro valley to the Algarve.
His knack for a good deal, his creativity, and his skills as an amateur architect are great assets when scouting for the perfect property to fit your needs.
How we got started
Starting in the 1990s before Lisbon was what it is today, Ramón designed and renovated several residential projects, focusing on underpriced properties with potential and character. His most recent project is the complete transformation of the ruin of a traditional mill into a modern vacation house near the popular surf spot of Peniche, on the Silver Coast.
Marie bought her first property in 2019 while still living abroad and managed the renovation works remotely, while working to transfer her fiscal residence from the US to Portugal under the NHR status - a steep learning curve in all aspects. A year later, she invested in a rental property which received 100 applications and whose tenant paid for a full year upfront.
Faced with an increasing volume of requests for help, we launched lora&melo as a turn-key buyers’ agency. We put our hands-on experience at your service to make your investment process in Portugal as smooth and as satisfying as possible.
